With your dog standing, measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.

Measure around your dog’s rib cage 1″ behind the front legs
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG’S SHOULDER WIDTH
Measure the chest width from shoulder bone to shoulder bone, under the neck.
HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG’S HEIGHT
For coats, we want to determine the proper length, ideally ending the coat at the top of the front and back legs. Measure from the spinal cord at the center of the back to the top of each leg, front and back.
